Zoning Board of Appeals

Overview

The Zoning Board of Appeals hears and decides on appeals from residents, and reviews any order, requirement, decision, interpretation, or determination made by the administrative official charged with the enforcement of any zoning ordinance or law. Five members serve five-year terms expiring on December 31 of the year indicated.

Persons aggrieved by a Zoning Board of Appeals decision may apply to the Supreme Court for review via a proceeding under Article 78 of the Civil Practice Law and Rules.
